Please test the following new gamification features. You must create an account and log in to access scoring, leaderboards, and achievements.
**1. Account & Authentication**
- Register a new account and verify the registration flow works smoothly
- Test login/logout functionality
- Verify the navbar shows Login/Sign Up links when logged out, and shows XP/Level badge when logged in
- Check that the "Try Quiz" link on login/register pages navigates to the main app
**2. Quiz Scoring System**
- Complete several quizzes and verify points are awarded (100 base points per correct answer)
- Test streak multipliers by answering multiple questions correctly in a row
- Verify speed bonuses appear when answering quickly (under 5 seconds)
- Check that perfect scores (100%) trigger confetti and bonus points
- Confirm XP is earned and displayed in the navbar and sidebar
**3. Visual Effects**
- Verify sparkle effects appear on correct answers
- Test fire trail effects when building answer streaks (3+, 5+, 10+)
- Confirm confetti celebration triggers on perfect quiz scores
- Check that golden explosion effects appear on level-ups
- Verify rising score/XP numbers animate on screen during gameplay
**4. Leaderboards**
- Navigate to the Leaderboard page from sidebar or navbar
- Test All-Time, Weekly, and Daily filter tabs
- Verify your score appears on the leaderboard after completing quizzes
- Check that clicking on usernames navigates to their public profiles
**5. Achievements (20+ to unlock)**
- Unlock "First Steps" by completing your first quiz
- Test streak achievements: "On Fire" (3-streak), "Unstoppable" (5-streak)
- Verify achievement toast notifications appear with correct rarity colors
- Check "Social Butterfly" unlocks when sharing a quiz
- Navigate to your profile and verify unlocked achievements are displayed
**6. User Profile**
- Access your profile from the sidebar "My Profile" link
- Verify level, XP progress bar, total score, and stats are displayed
- Check that recent quiz results are shown
- Test that profiles are publicly viewable by other users
**7. Mobile Responsiveness**
- Test all features on mobile devices (iOS and Android)
- Verify navbar auth links collapse to icons on small screens
- Check that leaderboard and profile pages are mobile-friendly
- Test visual effects performance on mobile browsers
**8. Help & Privacy Pages**
- Review updated Help page for gamification documentation
- Check Privacy Policy includes third-party services (Google Fonts, confetti library)
